Government’s approach will hike food prices and your electricity bill.
On February 7, I participated in the Opposition Day Motion on the carbon tax. I noted that the government’s method to curb the carbon emissions in agriculture is going to reduce yields by 30%. That will raise prices for Canadians and the world at a time when many people are experiencing food insecurity and high inflation.
I also asked about the cost of renewable energy, which is extremely expensive and unreliable, and has continued to escalate the cost for Canadians, whose electricity bills are going through the roof. The NDP Member of Parliament didn’t seem to think that’s a problem.
