On July 24, Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault announced that Canada will be ending so-called inefficient fossil fuel subsidies in Canada. The problem is that he can’t define “inefficient” and can’t identify any remaining fossil fuel subsidies in Canada. He is spinning a fantasy and then riding to the rescue. In this newsletter, I take a deeper dive into alleged fossil fuel subsidies.
