It’s summer in the city, but the government continues on with missteps and bad policy that it hopes you won’t notice. I’ve been out at festivals and on the doorsteps. I’ve included a digest of issues that are being raised with me, including inflation/cost of living, the ill-conceived “plan” to get to net-zero electricity by 2035 (Ottawa’s goal) or 2050 (Alberta’s goal), an assault on natural health products, and the bungled legislation that has led to Meta (Facebook/Instagram) removing news links from their sites. I’ve also included a look at housing policy, which is probably the #1 issue I’m hearing from constituents.
