Will Finance Minister Show Us the Budget?

In Question Period I continued to put pressure on the Finance Minister to deliver a budget to Canadians this spring. He has asked Parliament to approve $486 billion in spending – an increase of 8% instead of the promised 2% – but without any context, plans, or projections for that money.

Parliament voted Monday to require a budget. Will he listen to Canada’s elected representatives, or just parrot the last government’s habit of ignoring direct instructions from Parliament? Canadians are asking for a more collaborative government, but that must start by the government actually listening to – and acting upon – the direct instructions given to it by Parliament, Canadians’ elected spokespeople.

Food Banks, Job Losses, and Mortgage Defaults — Liberal Chaos

Canadians are paying the price for Liberal economic mismanagement. A recession is looming, 200,000 jobs are on the line, food bank use is exploding—even full-time workers can’t keep up—and mortgage defaults are rising. The Liberals have no plan, no budget, and no accountability. It’s time for the Prime Minister to do his job and table a budget.
