A tax increase worthy of Ebenezer Scrooge! Why can't the Minister of Finance see what everyone else sees? Details in News.
Canada has a critical role to play in decarbonizing the energy production for the benefit of the planet while also reducing the support received by Putin’s regime in the Russian Federation. Greg raised this point with the Minister of Natural Resources on a number of occasions last week, both in the House of Commons and at the Standing Committee on Natural Resources.
In 2021 Canada imported over $378 million of petroleum products from Russia.
Today, Greg wrote to the Minister asking a simple question – “What is the date the final shipment of Russian petroleum products will arrive in Canada, and the final date on which Canada will abide payment from any entity for the purchase of Russian oil or petroleum products?”
It is obvious that we need to act more aggressively against Russia, and Greg is also asking the Liberal government consider instituting a ban on all products supplied by Russia to Canada.
