My Position on Alberta Separatism
On the question of any referendum that Albertans may face regarding our place in Canada, I am always clear:
I stand for a united Canada. Separation is not the answer.
A unified, well governed, country will address the issues that many see as division points. My responsibility, and the responsibility of the federal government, is to address the issues driving this debate and ensure our federation works better for all provinces. I will continue that work—constructively, and firmly within Canada.
