Liberal Government failing the developing world and the environment

Government says it is too late to change course. I say get started now.

During debate, I questioned the Government about their numerous energy policy failures which have resulted in environmental policy failures including Canada’s signature commitment to reduce global CO2 emissions.

The government has failed the world by constraining clean Canadian energy development for the past seven years, failed the developing world in providing clean Canadian energy to a growing world demanding more energy, failed the The government has failed the world by constraining clean Canadian energy development for the past seven years, failed developing countries by not providing clean Canadian energy to a growing world economy demanding more energy, failed the environment by keeping Canadian natural gas from markets that have had to instead burn more coal and emit more CO2, failed democratic nations by forcing them to source their energy at great expense from the world’s most authoritarian regimes.

The government says it is now too late to change course.

The best time to move forward was 7 years ago. The second best time to move forward is today.
