Government attacks free speech with gag order on positive oil and gas stories. Read More
The NDP-Liberal government has moved the Canadian Parliament to a hybrid model (meaning that MPs do not have to actually attend Parliament to speak or vote). Ministers, in particular, can answer questions from their kitchen table, far away from the nosy media and intrusive Opposition MPs. This is a less accountable model and a far less effective way for your elected representatives to make good policy and laws. It is a way for the government to dodge questions and scrutiny. It is an unhappy way to end the spring session.
