Happy Canada Day 2026

Today, we come together to celebrate Canada — our home, our heritage, and the values that bring us together.

Here in Calgary, where the prairies meet the Rockies, Canada Day is something special. It’s in our neighbourhoods, along the Bow River, and in the energy building as we head into another Stampede season.

Canada has always been shaped by the people who call it home — those who work hard, support their neighbours, and believe in building something better for the next generation.

On this Canada Day, let’s take pride in how far we’ve come — and look ahead with confidence to the future we’re building together.

From my family to yours,
Happy Canada Day. Joyeuse fête du Canada.
Proud, strong, and free.

Canada Day in Calgary Centre

JULY 1, 2026 – Canada Day 2026 was full of celebration and connection. From speaking in a citizenship ceremony at the Central Library and the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets enrollment at the HMCS Tecumseh, to commemorating Chinese Railroad workers with the Calgary Kaiping Association, I’ve had the opportunity to witness so much of the diversity and spirit that makes our country so vibrant.

Add in visits with seniors at George King Tower and Murdoch Manor and a stop by the East Village Street Fair, and it has made for a celebration to remember. From me to you, Happy Canada Day.
