Wednesday July 8

I spoke at the 5th Annual Alberta Trade Mission of the Canadian Bitcoin Consortium. My keynote speech, for their “future of finance” day, focused on my work chairing the Economic Growth Council, regulatory developments in cryptocurrency, and the future of decentralized finance systems. Thanks to Koleya Karringten from the consortium for inviting me, and NDAX for hosting.

Wednesday also included the Canada-ASEAN Business Council summit. I attended a panel on economic opportunities for Canada-ASEAN collaboration, and met with government officials and business leaders in a variety of sectors. ASEAN is the Association of South East Asian Nations – key trading partners for Canada. Yes – business does get done at Stampede!

Tuesday July 7

The Big Guns Breakfast – always a great opportunity to connect with hundreds of professionals in Alberta’s energy sector, and enjoy great live music at the Wildhorse Tent downtown. Thanks to Terry Winnitoy at EnergyNow for hosting me.

Monday July 6

The Premier’s annual breakfast on Monday morning. In the second picture, I’m with my colleagues Pat Kelly MP (Calgary Crowfoot), David McKenzie, MP (Calgary Signal Hill) and Jeff Kibble, the MP for Cowichan—Malahat—Langford in BC. Always happy to host colleagues from other parts of Canada at Calgary’s marquee summer event.

Sunday July 5

It was my pleasure to attend Equal Voice YYC’s Annual Stampede Reception. Equal Voice is an incredible organization promoting women’s involvement in politics across Canada through panels, speaker events, workshops, and networking opportunities like this one. Congratulations to my associate Mer Yang and the entire Equal Voice team for all of their hard work to make this event a huge success.
