Defending Canada’s Energy Sector Against Misleading Claims
Greg points out the inaccuracy in the Parliamentary Secretary’s claim that the previous Conservative government failed to promote Canadian energy.
He argues that the surge in production and the drop in emissions didn’t magically occur with the Liberal government’s arrival. According to Greg, the proposed production cap could spell disaster for the economy, slashing production, costing 150,000 jobs, and hitting GDP and the Canadian dollar hard.
Citing the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development, Greg highlighted that recent emission reductions were due to data revisions, not government action.
Greg insists that Canada must continue reducing emissions while boosting production to benefit both the global environment and the Canadian economy.
