The Liberal government – with Mark Carney as a key insider – brought in multiple laws hostile to Alberta’s oil and gas industry. That includes “greenwashing” legislation which inhibits companies (in all industries) from discussing their environment goals and record; and a proposed emissions (production) cap on O&G emissions (which new Environment Minister Terry Duguid reaffirmed just yesterday is still planned by this government under Carney).
