Canada must ban the sale of harvested organs from around the world.
Parliament is in the process of debating Bill S-233, an Act to ban the sale of organs from around the world.
I submitted a petition to the House in support of this bill, sent to me by the constituents of Calgary Centre. This issue is obviously a concern for people who correctly feel there are regimes around the world that allow the harvesting organs from unwilling donors. Obviously, that should be banned in Canada. I support both the petition and the Bill, and will vote accordingly.
